Excellent Response for 'Viral Gorkhe' at Premier Show
The premier show of the movie 'Viral Gorkhe', which is set to release nationwide on Thursday, Magh 1st, on the occasion of Maghe Sankranti, was held on Tuesday evening at Ranjana Cineplex in New Road.
The premier show saw a dense presence of celebrities and journalists, including lead actors Saugat Malla, Shristi Shrestha, Puja Sharma, Sisan Baniya, and Jay Kishan Basnet. For the premier, Shristi arrived in Newari attire while Saugat appeared in the Nepali national dress, Daura Suruwal. Director Nigam Shrestha, producers Amit Shrestha and Mahesh Lamichhane, and co-producer Subhechha Paudel were also present at the event.
Most guests leaving the theater after watching the film praised director Nigam’s direction as well as the performances of actors Saugat Malla and Shristi Shrestha. The guests commented that 'Viral Gorkhe' is a beautiful movie that all audiences should watch. The film satirizes the trend of seeking virality on social media and tells a story about its effects and impacts.
Actress Puja Sharma remarked that 'Viral Gorkhe' is an informative movie filled with entertainment. She mentioned that while the culture of supporting one another in the Nepali film industry has been fading recently, she had been eager to watch the film since the teaser release. After receiving an invitation to the premier and finding the movie to be beautiful, she happily encouraged everyone to watch it.
Popular vlogger and model Sisan Baniya also stated that he enjoyed watching 'Viral Gorkhe'. Speaking to the media while exiting the hall, he said, "Since the trend of going viral is currently prevalent in Nepal, director Nigam Shrestha has made a beautiful film on the subject. I felt happy to see something new on the screen that provides both entertainment and a message. I recommend everyone visit the theater at least once to see it."
Actors Saugat Malla and Shristi Shrestha appeared delighted by the excellent response received from the guests at the premier. "We worked very hard for this movie. Today, the result of that hard work has turned out beautifully. We are happy. Now we look forward to the support and excellent feedback from the audience. Let's see how it goes. We are optimistic that we will get good support from the viewers," they said.
Director Nigam Shrestha also appeared in a cheerful mood after the positive reception at the premier. "I have put in as much effort as possible. You liked it today, and I am confident the audience will like it too," he said. Multiplexes and single-screen theaters across the country have already opened advance ticket bookings for the movie since Tuesday.
Produced under the banners of AK Brother Company, The GMI Academy, and Nirvana Film School, the movie features Buddhi Tamang, Laxmi Giri, Rajaram Paudel, Rishi Dhamala, Rabi Bhujel, and Miss Pabi alongside Saugat and Shristi. Due to the hype generated by the previously released teaser, songs, and trailer, theaters across the country have provided a good number of shows for 'Viral Gorkhe'.
'Viral Gorkhe' is directed by Nigam Shrestha. The producers are Amit Shrestha, Bishal Tamrakar, Mahesh Lamichhane, and Kebal Jung Kunwar, while the co-producers are Nirvana Film School, Bhuwan Adhikari, and Nikhil Paudel.
The film, featuring cinematography by Amar Maharjan, was shot in Bhujung Village of Lamjung, Gorkha, and Chitwan. The distributor for 'Viral Gorkhe' is Sunil Manandhar, with Shree Shrestha as the action director, and Bande Prasad, Rabi Chaudhary, and Bhim Bishwakarma as editors.
