UML Pledges Infrastructure and Hydropower Development in Kavre
Kathmandu. As the House of Representatives election approaches, the Nepal Communist Party (UML) has intensified its door-to-door campaign in the Koshipari area of Kavre constituency No. 1. Amit Lama, a central committee member of the party and the candidate, has been visiting villages to meet with voters and discuss issues such as development, employment, infrastructure expansion, and the modernization of agriculture.
Lama stated that a long-term plan is necessary for the prosperity of Koshipari and pledged to take the initiative to move the Sunkoshi-3 Hydropower Project forward. According to him, the commencement of the project is expected to increase local employment, business activities, and revenue. Additionally, he mentioned that water tourism, the preservation of religious and cultural heritage, improvements in drinking water and irrigation, and road upgrades would be prioritized.
Noting that expected development has not occurred in the past, Lama urged voters to give the UML an opportunity this time to expand basic services and build a prosperous Koshipari. He expressed his commitment to steering the region toward a model of development within the next five years.
