"The election on Falgun 21 is essential for democracy, the country, and the people: President"
Kathmandu, 5 Mangsir: President Ram Chandra Paudel has stated that practical knowledge, moral education, and skill-based education that enhances competence, according to the needs of the nation, is the necessity of today.
Speaking at the Diamond Jubilee ceremony organized today to mark the 75th anniversary of Padmakanya Multiple Campus here, he emphasized that only such an education can face the current challenges.
Referring to the context that the country has reached this state after passing through a difficult situation, he mentioned that the date for the House of Representatives election has been set for February 21 (Falgun 21), preserving the constitution, democracy, and the nation from that adverse and difficult situation.
President Paudel said, "I believe that the result of this election will strengthen the journey of good governance, development, and prosperity and give it a new direction. Since this election is essential for the country, the people, and democracy, I also want to appeal to all Nepali brothers and sisters to make it successful."
President Paudel stated that it is the need of the hour to focus on making skill-based education excellent by starting the teaching of additional subjects according to the needs of society and the nation, providing practical knowledge and moral education, and enhancing competence.

He stated that the main task of educational institutions is to prepare quality and skilled manpower required for various sectors in the country.
"Many women who are established not only in the academic and administrative fields but also in the political sphere of the country have obtained higher education from this campus. Recently, the number of Nepali students going abroad for new subjects in higher education is increasing. Keeping this reality in mind, I am confident that this campus will pay special attention to providing quality education at home to address market demands in the coming days," said President Paudel.
He further stated that the contribution of education is important for the development of any country. He also mentioned that Padmakanya has a special contribution to the educational advancement of women in Nepal.
"Padmakanya opened the door to higher education for Nepali women at a time when the common people were just gaining access to education with the dawn of democracy after the end of the Rana regime. Padmakanya Campus, established with the main objective of providing higher education in such a complex situation, is synonymous with women's education," said President Paudel.
He expressed happiness that Padmakanya Multiple Campus, established with the main objective of 'Women Empowerment for Quality Education', has a glorious history and has succeeded in becoming a leading educational institution in Nepal and the country's main academic center for women's education. He expressed pleasure at the initiative taken to upgrade the campus to a Women's University and extended his best wishes for its success.
President Paudel honored Vidya Thapa, Pragya Gautam, Bhagwati Sedai, Niran Khanal, and Anjana Pokharel, who completed their Ph.D. in the recent academic session. During the program, Campus Chief Prof. Dr. Jayalakshmi Pradhan provided information about the academic progress of the campus.
