‘The Blue Light’ Brings a Different Narrative Tone to Contemporary Nepali Cinema
Kathmandu. When the movie 'The Blue Light' is released on the upcoming 16th of Magh, a cinema featuring veteran actors will come before the audience. Actors who have already proven themselves to the audience have performed in this movie.
'The Blue Light' is a movie by filmmakers who have proven themselves excellent in the field of acting. This movie features actress Benisha Hamal, who already proved herself through 'Blind Rocks'.
Another lead actor in this movie is Mahesh Tripathi. He had already proven himself as a top-tier actor through 'Halkara'. Mahesh is also in the movie 'Paran', which is currently in theaters.
Arpan Thapa is one of the few excellent actors in the Nepali film industry, whose attitude is always very impressive.
Popular actors like Ayushman Desraj Joshi and Shristi Shrestha are in this cinema. Surakshya Itani, Grishma Katuwal, and Sahara Sharma will also be acting in this movie.
'The Blue Light' is directed by Baliram Chauhan. This is his first direction. However, he has experience working on many movies as a Chief Assistant Director. Baliram was also in the directorial team of 'Balidaan', which was released last Dashain.
Skyfall Pictures is presenting the movie, which is being produced in the psychological thriller genre. Since the trailer was recently released on YouTube, positive reactions have been coming from the audience. A mysterious and dark environment is shown from the beginning of the trailer. Actress Benisha has played the role of a young woman named 'Maya', who appears to be caught in loneliness and addiction. The scenes shown in the trailer hint at a story of mysterious events, love, betrayal, and revenge occurring in Maya's life.
In particular, Arpan Thapa's mysterious role and the police interrogation scenes have given the movie's suspense even more height. The mystery revolving around a character named 'Vikram' and the meaning of 'The Blue Light' have made the trailer more interesting.
According to director Chauhan, although the subject matter of the movie is not new, the style of presenting it is different.
"The subject matter we have tried to show is certainly not new. But we have shown that same thing in a new style," says director Chauhan. "The emotions and feelings of the characters within it are highly sensitive, which we hope will give the audience a unique experience."
Bholanath Katuwal and Raman Grey are the co-producers of the movie 'The Blue Light'. Narendra Mainali, who is also the cinematographer of this movie, and actress Benisha Hamal are the executive producers.
