Actor Chaudhary Debuts as Director with 'Taranga', Barun Adhikari in the Lead Role
Kathmandu. Barun Adhikari, who has gained popularity through modeling, is now set to debut on the big screen.
Model Barun is making his big-screen debut through the film 'Taranga', which is being produced under the debut direction of actor Pradeep Kumar Chaudhary.
Having acted in more than a dozen music videos, Barun appears excited as he is now coming before the audience for the first time through a feature film.
Barun said that the film's story, character, and the director's confidence led him to join 'Taranga'. "My role is powerful. I will bring out the team's trust with hard work," he said.
He is confident that the audience will like his character.
The screenplay for this film is also written by the director Chaudhary himself. The film, which is being produced under the banner of Manoram Production, has Sujan Rai and Tarkaraj Joshi as producers.
'Taranga', which will be prepared in the 'supernatural lovestory' genre, will be shot in locations including Itahari, Dharan, Belbari, Chatara, Chitwan, Butwal, Pokhara, and Bhedetar.
The shooting for this movie has been ongoing in Belbari for a few days.
The film, which is being prepared with a budget of approximately 2 crore rupees, will star Rabina KC, Barat Limbu, Krishna Thapa, Sara Rai, Ujal Rai, and Uttam Gurung, among others, alongside Barun in the lead role.
Mahesh Poudel is the cinematographer for the film, and Rijen Pariyar is in the role of production controller.
Director Chaudhary, who has made a name for himself through various roles as a villain, has been associated with the Mandala Theater for a long time. He was last seen in the film 'Barishtha Balaram'.
The production team has stated that the film will be released within 2026.
