Surendra KC Questions Judges and Dismisses 'Gen Z Movement' as a Myth
Kathmandu. Political analyst Surendra KC has raised questions regarding judges, stating that the issue of parliamentary reinstatement has been kept under consideration indefinitely. Speaking on Wednesday at an interaction program titled "Transformed Congress and the Future Destination," he stated that judges are deserving of punishment as they take up to 60 years to decide a single case.
He said, "Judges are punishable because it is unimaginable that a case takes 60 years to be decided. No case is settled within 10–15 years. This issue of parliamentary reinstatement is also currently under consideration. There isn't a single reason to keep it pending. The public's anger is present here."
Furthermore, he expressed the view that it is a misconception to label the explosion of public anger against political misgovernance and disorder as a "Gen Z movement."
"The Gen Z movement is a myth. This isn't about Gen Z. It is an explosion against the political misgovernance and disorder that had put us in a difficult position. Someone took advantage of this and poured it over their own head," he said.
Analyst KC argued that the movement has proven to be solely about removing KP Oli, asserting that a loss of 5 trillion is unacceptable just to oust one individual. He questioned what the roadmap was if there were goals beyond simply removing KP Oli.
He said, "The results have now shown that this entire affair was conducted only to remove KP Oli. A loss of 5 trillion is not acceptable to remove one KP Oli. If there was a goal other than removing him, then what is that roadmap? Nothing other than elections is visible.
The constitution remains the same. The courts remain the same. The President remains the same. All other structures remain the same. Where, then, is the justification for that rebellion?"
