New Board of Directors at Sunaulo Saving and Credit Co-operative

Pokhara, January 3: The 18th Annual General Meeting and 6th Convention of Sunaulo Saving and Credit Co-operative, which has its main office in Lakeside, Pokhara, has unanimously elected a new Board of Directors under the chairmanship of Jivan Raj Sapkota.

The nine-member committee consists of Jagannath Timilsina as Vice-Chairman, Ishwari Prasad Paudel as Secretary, Gunaraj Acharya as Treasurer, and Jhabilaal Adhikari, Uma Devi Adhikari, Parbati Pandey, Jhankanath Paudel, and Sudha Subedi Baral as members. 

Similarly, Lila Bhattarai was elected as the coordinator of the Account Supervision Committee, with Tara Prasad Gautam and Shree Krishna Shrestha elected as the two members.

The organization's senior advisor Dambar Bahadur K.C. and legal advisor Damodar Adhikari completed the election program of the convention. 

Before this, the General Meeting and convention, presided over by the organization's Chairman Tika Ram Sapkota and conducted by Secretary Som Bahadur Thapa, was jointly inaugurated by senior advisor K.C. and legal advisor Adhikari.

During the program, Vice-Chairman Bhoj Kumar Shrestha welcomed everyone and recited the seven principles of cooperatives. On that occasion, students Aisha Kranti Sharma (Basic Level) and Bhaskar Pratap Shrestha (Secondary Level) were given educational awards along with cash. 

Receptionist Anisha Devkota received the Best Employee Award, and members Shanta Shrestha and Bishnumaya Sarki Lamichhane were honored as the Best Trading Members. Additionally, Manager Giridhari Dhakal and Cashier Laxmi Thapa, who have been working continuously for the past 10 years, were honored with the Decade Service Medal.

In the program, Chairman Tika Ram Sapkota answered members' questions and provided information about the actual situation of the cooperative and its current activities. Loan Committee Coordinator Jivan Raj Sapkota clarified matters related to loans. 

The General Meeting unanimously passed the Secretary's report presented by Som Bahadur Thapa, the audit report audited by G.N. Pandey and Associates, the Treasurer's report including the future budget presented by Lila Bhattarai, and the Account Supervision Committee's report presented by Ishwari Prasad Paudel.

During the program, Chairman Tika Ram Sapkota, senior advisors Dambar Bahadur K.C. and Bacchuram Tiwari, and legal advisor Damodar Adhikari shared their views.
