Rasuwa Flood: Death Toll Reaches 1,451, Over 5,705 Still Missing

Kathmandu. It has been confirmed that 1,451 people have died so far due to the flood in Rasuwa. The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority released human casualty and rescue details in an updated statistic published at 7:00 PM on Tuesday.

The details of the deceased found so far include 545 men, 336 women, and 530 partial human body parts. The Authority stated that 5,705 people are still missing in the flood.

The flood has caused human casualties across various districts. According to collected records, Chitwan suffered the highest number of casualties with 367 deaths. Similarly, 232 people died in Nawalparasi East, 222 in Nawalparasi West, 236 in Nuwakot, 203 in Rasuwa, 79 in Gorkha, 72 in Dhading, and 38 in Tanahun. During search and rescue operations, 13,795 people have been rescued safely so far.
