Nepali Film 'Stri' to be Released Nationwide from Falgun 29

Kathmandu. The new Nepali film 'Stri' (meaning 'Woman'), written and directed by Jiwan Shahi, has announced its release date.

According to the production team, 'Stri' will be screened in theaters across the country starting Falgun 29. Along with the date announcement, the film's title design has also been made public.

Produced by Samir Rai under the banner of Mela Recording Studio, the film features a story by director Shahi himself, while Kishan Aryal has assisted him with the screenplay.

Ramsharan Upreti is the cinematographer, Babul Giri is the music director, Subas Kafle is the project manager, Dev Maharjan is the action director, Chandra Bhandari is the chief associate director, and Shyam Baral is in charge of makeup and Suknita Chaulagain for dress design.

Sahadev Bista, Pramod Bhattarai Prateek, Rita Shrestha, and Manju Rajbanshi are the co-producers. 'Stri' is the directorial debut for Jiwan Shahi, who has directed hundreds of music videos.

The film, which is based on a social theme, features Pramod Agrahari, Salon Basnet, Rista Basnet, Namrata Shrestha, Dinesh DC, and Deepashree Niraula in the lead roles. Child artist Dipson Chilwal will also be seen in the film.

According to producer Samir Rai, the film's post-production work is currently underway. The digital rights for the female-centric story 'Stri' have been acquired by OSR Digital, and the film will be distributed nationwide by Apple Entertainment, FD, and Rich Entertainment.
