STEAM Materials Design Competition for University Students

The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MoEST) is organizing a competition program "STEAM Materials Design Competition among University Students". Students studying in Bachelor's, Master's or above degree can participate in this competition individually or by forming a group of 3 members.

To participate, students have to send a concept paper/proposal addressing any one of the theme, by filling the forms found in link:

Themes: "Solving any current problems in the country"

• Modernization of Indigenous/Traditional Technology
• Water scarcity in agriculture production
• Earthquake resistant building using local materials
• Air Pollution in urban areas
• Degradation of cultural heritage
• Disaster risk management and mitigation
• Municipal waste management
• Easy health access for rural community
• Integration of modern technology in production
• Others

Deadline for Participation: Mangsir 07, 2082 / November 23, 2025

The Ministry will reimburse the cost of development for STEAM Materials up to NRs. One lakh Fifty Thousand.
