MP Renuka Kaucha Draws Government's Attention to Indian SSB Activities in Susta
Kathmandu. Nepali Congress MP Renuka Kaucha has drawn the government's attention to the movement and activities of the Indian Border Security Force (SSB) in the Susta area of West Nawalparasi.
Speaking at the House of Representatives meeting on Monday, she stated that it is necessary to make the Nepali border residents of Susta feel that the state is with them.
She claimed that after the Prime Minister's recent statement in parliament that "Nepal has also encroached on the border," Indian SSB officials have started coming to the Susta area repeatedly.
"The Nepali border protectors of West Nawalparasi Susta must be given the feeling that the government is with us. Coincidentally, after the Prime Minister made the statement that Nepal has also encroached on the border, the Indian SSB has been coming to Susta time and again. Perhaps they came to look for the encroached border that the Prime Minister mentioned," she said.
MP Kaucha mentioned that Indian SSB officials came to Susta after Jestha 17 and again on Jestha 29, stating that local residents courageously turned them back. However, noting that they left with a warning that they would return, she questioned the government's preparedness.
She said, "What is the government doing to prevent the SSB, who left saying they would return, from entering Susta? The government must answer to the parliament."
