Elocution and Public Speaking Training at Social Public School
Pokhara. The two-week training on elocution and public speaking concluded on Saturday at Social Public School, located in Buddachowk, Pokhara-10.
The training was facilitated by Anupam Music and Kaski Multimedia's Managing Director, Anurag Adhikari. Adhikari shared his experience, stating that he conducted the training by focusing on the students' desires, needs, and abilities.
The closing ceremony, chaired by the school's Founder and Director, Khimbahadur Gurung, featured Shanti Gurung, Chief of Radio Nepal's Provincial Broadcasting Centre, who stated that Social Public School is running a campaign to teach students life skills.
Gurung emphasized that such programs play a vital role in showcasing students' talents, adding that public speaking skills teach one how to use the right words, in the right place, in the right way.
She stressed that the art of speaking is a fundamental life skill. Urging students to recognize their inner potential, the journalist and singer Gurung also said that eloquence plays a role in freeing oneself from discrimination.
The school's Director, Khimbahadur Gurung, informed that the school regularly conducts various activities to reveal the all-around potential of its students. He added that the school focuses on student-centric activities, running a campaign that teaches life, not just books.
The program also saw well-wishes offered by the school's Principal Siddhartha Sharma, litterateur and journalist Rupindra Prabhawi, and guardians Riyaz Gurung and Prajwal Bhitrakoti. Trainees Aarushi Baniya and Deepika Chhetri hosted the event, while Nisma KC, Shriaj Gurung, Grishma Sharma, Asmita Sunar, Priyanaka Gurung, Riti Baruwal, and Dikshya Thapa shared their training experiences.
A total of 45 students from classes 6 to 10 participated in the training.
