Nepal Rastra Bank Begins Distribution of Small Denomination Notes for Dashain

Kathmandu: Nepal Rastra Bank has started the distribution of small denomination notes required for Dashain from today. The bank plans to continue this distribution for Dashain until Ashwin 10.

Although the distribution was initially scheduled to begin last Sunday, there was uncertainty due to the political unrest caused by the Gen Z movement, which raised doubts about whether the notes could be distributed on time.

However, Nepal Rastra Bank stated that since the physical condition of the bank and other banks has not been significantly affected, they are able to start the distribution of notes as scheduled.
