Will they make us cry or laugh again? Saroj Poudel is bringing Vijay and Anjana in ‘Sindure Jatra’

The production team of the upcoming film ‘Sindure Jatra’, to be produced under the banner of Sarangi Films, has begun signing actors. On the occasion of Saraswati Puja, the production side signed two lead actors today.

Actor Vijay Baral and actress Anjana Baraili have been signed for the project. This marks the second collaboration for both actors with blockbuster director Saroj Poudel.

Previously, they worked together in the film 'Purna Bahadurko Sarangi', directed by Saroj Poudel, which became the highest-grossing film in the history of Nepali cinema. The movie created history by earning nearly 500 million rupees at the Nepali box office.

Through 'Purna Bahadurko Sarangi', director Poudel established himself as a 'blockbuster director' in Nepal. He presented the story of a simple Gandharva family, the father-son relationship, and the struggle for education in a very touching manner, which moved audiences across the country to tears and pulled them into the theaters.

This film became a 'turning point' in Vijay Baral's career, where he played the central role of 'Purna Bahadur'. Anjana played the role of Vijay Baral's wife in the movie. Now, as director Poudel prepares to start ‘Sindure Jatra’ with the same 'lucky' team of Vijay and Anjana, expectations are high that they will create magic on screen once again.

Director Poudel stated that other actors will be signed gradually. “In Sindure Jatra, we will now proceed by signing actors who suit the characters,” said director Saroj. “In a short time, we will finalize the cast and begin other work.”

He mentioned that no effort will be spared to make the film great and emphasized that there will be no compromise in the selection of actors.

“Vijay and Anjana are popular actors right now. However, we didn't take them just because they are market favorites,” Saroj clarified. “We signed them because the story itself demanded them.”

Regarding signing actors suited to the story, he said, “If we want to make a good film, we have no choice but to create characters that fit the story and cast actors who can do justice to them.”

The film is written by Sabin Adhikari and Basanta Neupane, while the story itself is by director Poudel.

RR Films will distribute the movie, with OSR Digital serving as the digital partner. Director Poudel has not yet provided any information regarding the release date.

With the team that set a record of 500 million rupees coming together again, there is already great excitement and expectation for ‘Sindure Jatra’ within the film industry and among the audience.
