Independent Candidate Rupak Simkhada Receives 'Cap' Election Symbol
Kathmandu. Rupak Simkhada, an independent candidate from Kathmandu Constituency No. 2, has been assigned the 'Cap' election symbol. With the Election Commission providing him the symbol, he has officially begun his election campaign.
Previously active in politics through the youth wing of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party, Simkhada is a resident of Thali within Kathmandu-2. The 44-year-old Simkhada has committed to practicing politics by bridging the aspirations of Gen-Z youth with the experience of the older generation.
"In the situation developed after the Gen-Z movement, my effort will be to act as a bridge between the youth and the older generation," Simkhada said. "I will win the trust of citizens by continuing positive thinking and good deeds."
The competition in Kathmandu Constituency No. 2 appears interesting this time. Candidates in the fray include Maniram Phuyal from CPN-UML, Nitesh Paudel from the Nepali Communist Party, Kabir Sharma from the Nepali Congress, and Sunil KC from the Rastriya Swatantra Party.
