Siddhartha Bank Launches ‘Virtual Credit Card’ to Facilitate Digital Transactions

Kathmandu. Siddhartha Bank Limited, in partnership with Fonepay Payment Service Limited, has launched a completely digital credit card, the “Siddhartha Fonepay Virtual Credit Card,” to further strengthen and make its electronic services more accessible.

The card was unveiled at an on-ground event held on the occasion of the second edition of the Siddhartha Bank Nepal Premier League (SBLNPL).

Through this card, customers can make fast, secure, and contactless payments at over 1.8 million Fonepay QR merchants without the need for a physical card. Designed to meet the needs of digitally active customers, this card offers instant activation, immediate control, and high security.

Customers can instantly apply for, receive, and activate the card through the BankSmartXP mobile banking app. They can also easily manage their limit, lock/unlock the card, check statements, make payments, and perform other management tasks via the app.

As a special launch offer for the Siddhartha Fonepay Credit Card, customers will receive 50% cashback on every transaction made through this virtual credit card, with a maximum total cashback of Rs. 750 (which will cover the membership fee).

This offer is valid only for a limited period, i.e., from December 7, 2025, to January 7, 2026. Through this opportunity, customers can experience seamless digital payments while effectively covering their membership fee.
