Serious Warning Over Bhadra 23–24 Zen Z Protest Tragedy
Kathmandu – UML leader Gokul Baskota has expressed deep concern over the Bhadra 23–24 Zen Z protests, during which 74 people lost their lives following government orders to open fire on the protesters.
Baskota stated, “If everything was truly fine, how could such a tragedy happen? Was it only a sudden disaster like an earthquake, tsunami, or typhoon?” He criticized the state machinery for being unaware and negligent in handling the situation.
He further emphasized that without proper investigation into the causes, review, and corrective measures to guide future actions, the incident amounted to a lost wake-up call.
Through this statement, Baskota has strongly condemned the government’s actions and highlighted the negligence that led to the tragic loss of lives during the Zen Z protests.
