Harka Sampang Accuses Ruling Party of Mismanaging Parliament
Kathmandu. Harka Sampang, Chairman of the Shram Sanskriti Party, has accused the ruling party of operating Parliament in an arbitrary manner.
Giving a brief response to media persons while exiting the Parliament building after boycotting Wednesday's House of Representatives meeting, he expressed dissatisfaction, stating that the Prime Minister has consistently avoided appearing in Parliament to provide answers.
He said, "We have boycotted the Parliament meeting. The Prime Minister never shows up, and matters that should be tabled by the Prime Minister are being sent through others. The ruling party is running the Parliament as they please. It is as if lawmakers are being handed stacks of books and told to come back tomorrow after reading them all."
Chairman Sampang also complained that adequate time was not provided for the discussion on the government’s policies and programs. According to him, issues that require effective debate in Parliament have been limited to mere formalities.
Furthermore, he claimed that no one can undermine the Shram Sanskriti Party and asserted that his party would present itself powerfully in Parliament.
