Samir Shrestha Heading Toward Parliament Carrying the Pain of Sindhupalchok's People

Kathmandu. Sindhupalchok is a district of struggle, sacrifice, and resistance. Having endured earthquakes, floods, landslides, poverty, and state neglect, this district has always faced indifference from rulers. Such a district does not need middlemen or contractors; it needs representatives who have emerged from struggle and understand the people's pain—Samir Shrestha is a representative of that very struggle.

Samir Shrestha is a candidate who rose from the people and lives among them. He is not a wealthy individual, a contractor, or a character raised in the shadows of power. An honest leader who understands the life of the working class, the future of the youth, and the needs of the district, Samir Shrestha is the one.

The Biplav-led CPN (Maoist) is a force that takes a firm stand against anti-national agreements. It is a party opposed to the MCC, imperialist intervention, and comprador capitalism. Samir Shrestha, a central member of the CPN (Maoist) and candidate for the House of Representatives from Sindhupalchok Constituency No. 1, has stated that if patriotic representatives are not present in parliament, the nation's existence could face a serious crisis.

Stating that the government was not formed in accordance with the spirit of the 'Gen Z' movement in the country, he said that if the representation in parliament follows the same pattern, the country's sovereignty will be at risk. Keeping this in mind, he mentioned that the CPN (Maoist) has fielded its representatives across the country to utilize this election.

Shrestha said, "According to the party's decision, if honest and patriotic representatives from across the country are not represented in parliament, the nation's existence is heading toward a serious crisis. Compradors are conspiring to win the election by any means to sell the country legally through parliament; the party decided to enter the election to stop this conspiracy."

He clarified that the CPN (Maoist) has entered the election with proposals to make Nepal truly integrated and independent through systems such as socialist federalism with preferential rights, a fully proportional House of Representatives, proportional participation in the civil administration, courts, security, and economic sectors, a new land system, and the guarantee of education, employment, and health.

House of Representatives candidate Shrestha expressed confidence that the people would grant the party victory because it has continuously struggled against corruption, the MCC, public betrayal, national betrayal, tax evasion, human trafficking, and in favor of socialism. Additionally, candidate Shrestha claimed that since the people are looking for a new alternative, his party is the truly new one.

The Biplav-led CPN (Maoist) is participating in parliamentary elections for the first time. Having entered the election with the 'Rose' as its electoral symbol, the party aims to secure a favorable result from the polls.
