Senior Artist R.P. Panta's Debut Music Video ‘Samay’ Released

Kathmandu: ‘Samay’ (Time), the debut music video featuring senior artist R.P. Panta, has been released. The song features lyrics and vocals by Canada-based songwriter and singer Uttam Bhattarai, music by senior composer Shakti Ballav, and arrangement by Manohar Sonam.

The video was released during a program organized on Thursday, featuring R.P. Panta as the lead actor. In addition to Panta, the video stars Bikash Lamichhane, Lisa Chhetri (Barnawal), Pramila Rupakheti, and child artist Prabesh Poudel.

Directed by Krishnadev Rupakheti, the video was filmed by Utsav Dahal and edited by Min Rawal. The song was recorded by Bhola Poudel, with mixing and mastering by Kishor Thapa.

Composer Ballav expressed his happiness at bringing a timely song to music lovers on the occasion of the English New Year. This marks artist Panta's comeback to acting and is the first music video of his 35-year-long acting career.

Senior artist Panta said, "I am happy to make a comeback to acting through the video of an evergreen song." Director Rupakheti stated that while he usually directs videos centered on love stories, working on such a soulful creation is a pleasant new chapter. "I have used creativity to do justice to the song’s theme of change over time. I believe viewers won't feel bored at any point while watching the video," he said.

Rupakheti has directed over a thousand music videos. The release event was attended by arranger Manohar Sonam, model Lisa Chhetri (Barnawal), and others.
