Filming for the Movie 'Roll No. 1' Starts in Myagdi, Will Portray Student Life Story

Kathmandu. Filming for the movie 'Roll No. 1' has begun. After a two-week-long workshop, the production team set out for the shoot.

The production team informed that the filming of the movie has started in Myagdi. Producer Binod Paudel mentioned that the schedule is about a month and a half long.

The main cast of the movie includes Mukun Bhusal, Sushank Mainali, Renu Yogi, Sirjana Adhikari, Sundar Dhital, and Nirvik Regmi.

The film is being directed by Jon Yonjan, who also wrote the story himself.

Producer Paudel stated that the movie 'Roll No. 1' will tell the story of the psychological pressure students have to endure in the name of confusion and so-called social prestige.

The story will address the narrative that "everyone must win, not winning means no honor," and "the class topper or 'First' is the only wise person, and others are fools."

In the previously released first look, a child was shown raising his hand in a classroom to mark his presence. In front of him, students in blue shirts filled the classroom. There was a blackboard in front and a female teacher nearby.

The film, which features a screenplay and dialogue by Mahesh Dawadi, will have music by Prashant Siwakoti.

Presented by Seven Seas Cinema, the producers of the film are Binod Paudel and Gunjan Giri. Ramesh Chaulagain is the executive producer.

Shivaram Shrestha is the DOP (Director of Photography) for the movie, and Firod Khadka is the Chief AD. Kala Sangraula is the Production Designer, and Manoj Joshi is the Production Head. Madan Ghimire will handle the editing.

Producer Paudel's film 'Abhimanyu: Chapter-1' is set to be released on Mangsir 18 (December 4, 2025).
