Release Date of Movie 'Roll No. 1' Set for Next Year's Republic Day

Kathmandu. The release date for the movie 'Roll No. 1' has been announced. The production team revealed the date on Friday, coinciding with the auspicious occasion of Saraswati Puja (Basanta Panchami).

Presented by Seven Seas Cinema, the film is scheduled to be released on Jestha 15, 2083 (Republic Day) of the upcoming year.

The production team chose a unique way to announce the date. They visited 'Pathik Gyan Niketan,' the school where the lead child actors study, and made the announcement during the Saraswati Puja celebrations.

According to producer Binod Paudel, the film will be released simultaneously in Nepal and abroad.

A major portion of the movie was filmed in various scenic and rural areas of the Himalayan district, Myagdi.

Directed by John Yonzon, 'Roll No. 1' is a film entirely based on child psychology. The first-look poster released last year, featuring a child raising a hand in a classroom, caught significant attention and is expected to highlight a profound aspect of the education sector.

Written by Mahesh Dawadi, the film stars Mukun Bhusal, Sushank Mainali, Renu Yogi, and Srijana Adhikari in lead roles. The child actors include Nirbhik Regmi, Rinchen Lama, Samyam Katuwal, and Sejal Shrestha.

The film is produced by Binod Paudel and Gunjan Giri, with Ramesh Chaulagain serving as the executive producer.

Shiva Ram Shrestha is the Director of Photography (DOP), Prashant Siwakoti is the music composer, Phirod Khadka is the chief assistant director, Kala Sangroula is the production designer, and Manoj Joshi is the production head. The film is edited by Madan Ghimire.

Rich Entertainment and JM Cinema will handle the distribution of the movie.
