Trailer of Sudipta’s Debut Directorial ‘Ramitako Pirati’ Released
The trailer for Sudipta’s debut directorial film, ‘Ramitako Pirati’, has been released. The story of love and betrayal was presented during a program organized in the capital on Sunday. The released trailer appears successful in creating curiosity among the audience.
The film's director, Sudipta, states that she wants to introduce ‘Ramitako Pirati’ to the audience as a breakup story rather than just a love story. She mentioned that while many love story films in Nepali cinema have been made from the male or hero's perspective, she has told the story from a female perspective, which will provide a new experience for the audience. She explained that the film uniquely presents the mindset of a girl after a breakup and what she goes through.
Actress Ana Sharma also shared that after being offered this story, she spent about six months working with director Sudipta to mold herself into the character. Meanwhile, the film's lead actor, Dhiraj Magar, stated that lately, he has been working more on stories told through female characters or heroines rather than being hero-centric. He said ‘Ramitako Pirati’ is one such project. Furthermore, he claimed that the film would fulfill the fans' desire to see him in a different avatar.
Scheduled to be released on February Magh 23, the film ‘Ramitako Pirati’ centers around Ramita, played by Ana Sharma. Director Sudipta believes that the film, based on a breakup story, will give the audience a different taste. Singer Samir Shrestha is also making his debut as an actor through this film.
Produced under the presentation of Sero Films, the movie features performances by Ana Sharma and Samir Shrestha along with Dhiraj Magar, Binay Shrestha, Gaumaya Gurung, Pashupati Rai, Renu Yogit, Giyana, Thinley Llama, and others. Santosh Lamsal is the executive producer, while RP Production is the associate producer. Subas Koirala, who is also a director, is the co-producer, and Sagar Lamsal is the producer.
The film features music by Sushant KC, Samir Shrestha, Mahesh Kafle, Asmita Adhikari, and Kushal Pokharel. Shishir Bishankhe is the DOP, Sunil Shivabhakti is the editor, Kapil Parajuli handled the coloring, and Kritika Baral is the choreographer.
