Rajendra Luitel Elected President of Event Management Association of Nepal

 

Kathmandu — Rajendra Luitel (Raj) has been elected as the new central president of the Event Management Association of Nepal (EMAN) during its 3rd General Assembly and Election Conference held in 2082 BS. The association, which represents event organizers and managers across the country, elected a 13-member new executive committee for a two-year term under Luitel’s leadership.

The general assembly, held at Boutique Hotel in Lazimpat, elected Trishna Gurung and Samir Lama as vice presidents, Sonytaraj Dhungel as general secretary, Bipin Pokhrel as secretary, and Manoj Thapa as treasurer—all unopposed. Likewise, Bhagirath Kumar Pokhrel was elected joint secretary, Sapana Rai as joint treasurer, and Subash Shrestha Pradhan, Ramkrishna Shrestha, Rahul Banjade, Pooja Regmi, and Lomas Karki as executive members.

Senior singer Sitaram Koirala, journalist BM Acharya, and advocate Keshav Pokhrel served as election officials. The newly elected officials were felicitated with certificates by Chief Guest, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Indira Rana Magar, and special guest Dr. Arpana Shah.

Over 120 event companies from across the country participated in the convention. Dr. Bhola Rijal (senior lyricist and physician), Dinesh DC (Chairperson of the Film Development Board), and Dr. Sushila Mall (Professor at Teaching Hospital and former Lions Club governor) were appointed as advisors and presented with official certificates.

Outgoing president Lab Bahadur Karki was honored as the patron of the association. The program was moderated by journalist BM Acharya.
