Singer Jhuma Limbu to Launch ‘Raithane Ghumphir Concert 2082’

Singer Jhuma Limbu and The Raithane Band are set to organize the ‘Raithane Ghumphir Concert 2082’ in collaboration with the movie ‘Jari 2’. The concert will kick off on Bhadra 21 at LOD Club in Thamel, Kathmandu, where the ‘Jari 2’ team will also present a Chyabrung dance performance.

Jhuma Limbu and her band will perform in 10 different cities across Nepal. Each concert will feature a solo performance by the band, with a focus on local art, culture, and music. According to Limbu, the primary goal of this musical journey is to promote cultural identity.

The program will highlight folk music and dances such as Hakpare, Palam, Chyabrung, Ghantu, Sorathi, Deuda, and Maruni. Limbu emphasizes that folk music is not only a source of entertainment but also a reflection of Nepal’s indigenous lifestyle, history, and community unity. She hopes this tour will carry culture and music to the younger generation and serve as a bridge connecting urban and rural musical traditions.

This year, the ‘Raithane Ghumphir’ tour will take place only within Nepal, with plans to expand internationally next year. Organizers said that each performance will respect local artists, instruments, and cultural diversity. Details of other upcoming events will be announced gradually.
