'Army-Hidden Guardian' Not Needed: Rabindra Mishra Slams Paudel
Rabindra Mishra, Senior Vice-Chairman of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), has raised serious questions about the current political leadership of the country and called for a 'new understanding' for national unity.
On Sunday, through an emotional and furious post on the social media platform Facebook, he criticized President Ram Chandra Paudel, stating that the President lacked the moral courage to address the nation during a national crisis and that a situation had arisen where the Army had to hide him.
The context of his statement seems to be directed at the recent 'crisis of September 8 and 9' (a time of major violence and damage during the Gen-Z movement) in the country.
Mishra warned that due to Nepal's internal environment and geopolitical complexities, an even bigger crisis could come in the future.
He questioned the legitimacy of the current head of the constitutional system, asking if the country was looking for a 'guardian' who cannot address the nation on television during a crisis and has to be hidden by the Army.
