'If the country is dragged along by the current Constitution, an existential crisis will follow' -  Rabindra Mishra

Kathmandu. Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Senior Vice President Rabindra Mishra has issued a serious warning, questioning the current political direction and constitutional path of the country.

Assessing the altered geopolitical and internal context of the nation, he stated that if efforts are made to 'drag the country along' using the current constitution, the nation will face an 'existential crisis' in the near future.

In a statement made public via Facebook, Mishra clarified the priority of individuals holding public office. He argues that for every Nepali entering any body of the Government of Nepal, the 'national interest' must be paramount.

He emphasized that this principle should be equally mandatory for politicians, asserting that the national interest must always supersede their personal views or self-interests.

He expressed strong dissatisfaction with the current political system and its style of operation, stating, "If anyone still believes that this country can be dragged along by the current constitution amidst the changed geopolitical and internal context, they will lead the country towards an ExistentialCrisis tomorrow."

Mishra concluded by urging, "Therefore, let us now think differently," signaling that fundamental change is essential to save the country from crisis.
