Fourth Series Audition Round of Public Speech Banke Completed

Nepalgunj. The audition round of the 'Public Speech' program, organized by BAS Nepal, has concluded successfully. Out of the participants in this audition held in Nepalgunj for the fourth series in Banke, 10 competitors have been selected for the final round.

BAS Nepal has been organizing this competition for several years with the aim of enhancing the speaking style and public speaking skills of students and youth. To bring out the speaking potential of participants and encourage local talent, 15 students from various schools and colleges in Banke participated in the competition.

Students from Nepalgunj Model Academy, Pashupati Secondary School Ranjha, West Zone English Medium School, City Public, Shree Gyanodaya Secondary School, Krishna Secondary School, Mahendra Multipurpose Campus, Laxmi Secondary School, Sagarmatha Gyanpunj, and Mangal Prasad Model Secondary School took part. 

Participants shared their views on contemporary topics such as 'Ethics: The Main Basis for Corruption Control,' 'Foundations of My Country’s Prosperity,' and 'Ensuring the Participation of People with Disabilities in the National Mainstream.'

The program was held under the chief hospitality of Ramhari Sharma, Chief Administrative Officer of Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolitan City. Educationist Kiran Acharya and senior journalists Rudra Khadka and Krishna officer served as judges. Shobha Thapa Magar, BAS Nepal Program Coordinator, acted as the timekeeper. Chief Guest Sharma formally inaugurated the program by watering a plant.

Participants gave a 4-minute presentation on topics chosen by lottery. Based on the judges' evaluation, Barshika Bhandari, Srishti Budha Magar, Manisha Upadhyay, Laxmi Pokhrel, Ashika KC, Chandralal Jaishi, Dikshika Khatri, Pranisha Bhattarai, Sagun Tiwari, and Sabina Kathayat were selected for the final round.

The final round will be held on Magh 28 at CST Hotel in Nepalgunj. In the final, competitors will speak on assigned topics including 'My Role for Peace, Prosperity, and the Rule of Law,' 'Sustainable Solutions to Prevent Brain Drain,' 'Possibilities of Youth Self-Employment and Utilization of Youth Power,' and 'Innovative Ways for Economic Freedom in Nepal.'

The program was chaired by Shiva Kumar Verma, Central President of BAS Nepal. Public Relations Officer Madhav Karki delivered the welcome speech and highlighted the objectives of the program, while Rabindra Bohora served as the program host.
