NEC’s Prof. Sabitri Tripathi Selected for Global Connect Fund Project

Kathmandu — Prof. Sabitri Tripathi, a faculty member and board member of Nepal Engineering College (NEC), has been selected for a prestigious project under Imperial College London’s Global Connect Fund.
The project, titled “Establishing a Regional Platform for Evaluating the Market Readiness and Large-Scale Implementation of WASH Technologies in India and Nepal”, will be led by Prof. Michael Templeton of Imperial College London. Prof. Tripathi, along with Prof. Unika Sogani from Manipal University, India, will serve as co-investigators.
Over the course of one year, Prof. Tripathi will take the lead in exploring and studying sanitation technologies in Nepal, as well as developing strategies for their future commercialization. The project aims to prepare a detailed, structured report on sanitation technologies and formulate market expansion strategies for their wider adoption.
It is expected that the project will make a significant contribution to the capacity building of students and researchers working in the sanitation sector. Prof. Tripathi currently serves in the Faculty of Science and Humanities at Nepal Engineering College.
