Director Shovit Basnet and Artists Return to Nepal for Promotion of Film 'PR'

Kathmandu: The production team of the film 'PR', which is set to be released on Mangsir 26, is actively engaged in extensive promotion. The lead actor and actress of the film, who reside in Australia, have also returned to Nepal.

A week ago, director Shovit Basnet, who had traveled to Australia, returned to Nepal along with the film’s lead actor R. A. Suraj Poudel and lead actress Binita Karki. Immediately after their arrival in Nepal, they are preparing to focus on the film's promotional activities.

Director Basnet, who landed at the international airport on Sunday evening, stated that he returned from Australia with the lead actor and actress to take the film to greater heights. He mentioned that he will now engage in further promotions with actor Suraj Poudel and actress Binita Karki.

"The artists also play a significant role in bringing the film to the audience," said director Basnet. "Now that I have returned to Nepal with the lead actor and actress, we will engage in extensive promotion."

A week ago, Director Basnet had traveled to Australia and other countries to finalize the film's release schedule. Actor Poudel also mentioned that he came to Nepal for the film's promotion.

"We had heard in Australia as well that the film's artists were being sought," he said. "That search is what drew us back to Nepal."

Actress Karki also stated that she came to Nepal for the film's promotion and to meet the audience here. This is her debut feature film.

"I am very excited about the film. The audience also greatly loved it at the special show held in Australia," she said happily. "I am confident that the audience in Nepal will also like it after the release." According to her, the production team will begin further promotions starting Monday.

The song 'Tata Bye Bye' from this film is currently trending. This song is boosting the film's hype.

In addition to R. A. Suraj Poudel and Binita Karki, the film stars Nir Shah, Gauri Malla, Rajan Kunwar, Pooja Chaudhary, Ashma Adhikari, Mastani, Bimla Khatri, Ganesh Budhathoki, Max Babu, Krishna Thapa, and Naveen Ghayal, among others. Rabindra Khadka, Uttam K.C., and Dikpal Karki will be seen in special roles.

The presenters of this film are Ranjit Shah and Santosh Tiwari, while the producers are Laxman Sapkota and Pradeep Dahal. The film is written by Ganesh Budhathoki and edited by Bande Prasad. Cinematography is done by Saurav Sayami and Saurav Lama. R.R. Films has taken on the distribution responsibility.

It is worth remembering that this film marks director Shovit Basnet's comeback after ten years.

The overseas distribution rights for this film are being rapidly sold. Just a few weeks ago, Yuuna Digital, a company that distributes films in Japan, acquired the distribution rights for this film.
