Filming of New Cinema ‘Pension Patta’ Begins Under the Direction of Maotse Gurung
The filming of the cinema ‘Pension Patta,’ to be directed by artist Maotse Gurung, has commenced following an auspicious Muhurat ceremony. The production team informed that the filming started from Tangting village in Kaski district and will be shot in the beautiful locations there for 35 days.
The cinema, which also involves an investment from Maotse Gurung—known as the ‘Godfather’ of Gurung cinema—will feature performances by Dayahang Rai, Sunil Thapa, Pashupati Rai, Gaumaya Gurung, Buddhi Tamang, Wilson Bikram Rai, Raj Thapa Kaucha, Luniva Tuladhar, Biswas Gurung, Maya Gurung, Yasili Rai, and others.
Although the title of this cinema suggests a story about a retired Lahure, director and producer Gurung states that it will show how a greedy man becomes generous.
Produced under the banner of Maotse Gurung Films, the story of the cinema is also written by director Gurung himself. Min Konme Gurung (Sikles), Bhoj Bahadur Gurung (UK), and Sapana Gurung are the investors of the cinema, while DB Gurung is the production manager.
Sushan Prajapati will photograph the cinema, and Suraj Tamu is the casting director. The music for this cinema will be prepared by Jhuma Limbu, Manoj Thapa Magar, and Shiva Baraili.
Director Maotse Gurung's debut directorial cinema ‘Dayarani’ was a hit at the box office. Also a first-choice artist as a character actor, he has recently started becoming active in writing and direction as well.
Previously, he had been directing cinemas in the Gurung language. Maotse is a producer along with being an artist and director.
