Pemba Chiri Sherpa in the Electoral Fray as the Youngest Candidate from Ujyalo Nepal Party

For the upcoming House of Representatives election scheduled for March 5, the Ujyalo Nepal Party has fielded youth candidate Pemba Chiri Sherpa as the youngest contender in the political history of Solukhumbu district.

Sherpa had been involved with the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) since 2080 B.S, serving in a leadership role as the district founder and Chief of the District Organization Department for Solukhumbu.

In recognition of his continuous dedication and active role in expanding the organization, the RSP Koshi Province Committee had entrusted him with the responsibility of Provincial Tourism Department Secretary.

While in that role, Sherpa worked day and night for nearly a year to form tourism departments across all 14 districts of Koshi Province. However, he stated that due to recent political upheavals, various activities within the party, and the ego and arrogance of certain individuals, he resigned from both his position as provincial secretary and his general membership to exit the party.

Sherpa is a conscious local citizen who has been consistently raising his voice from the streets to central ministries for the past decade to address the political, social, and local issues of the district.

After leaving the Rastriya Swatantra Party, he received a proposal from the Ujyalo Nepal Party to contest the direct election for the long-term development of the district and the welfare of the local people.

Consequently, he has stepped forward as the youngest candidate in Solukhumbu this time. Clarifying his stance to all residents of Solukhumbu, Sherpa has requested them to vote for the 'Light Bulb' symbol to create history.

He stated, "This ticket was given by the party not just to me, but to work for the benefit of the district residents. This candidacy is not mine alone; it belongs to all the people of Solukhumbu. My victory means the victory of the people of Solukhumbu." Therefore, he has urged all voters to confidently stamp the 'Bulb' symbol.
