Oxford University Announces Winner of Annual Award Established in the Name of Prof. Subedi
London – The prestigious University of Oxford has announced the winner of its annual doctoral thesis award, established in the name of Professor Surya P. Subedi.
This year’s award has been presented to Dr. Aiden Lerch for his doctoral dissertation focused on:
“What kind of orders courts can issue to prevent imminent injustice to a party before the final determination of a case.”
Dr. Lerch’s work was selected as the best doctoral dissertation of the year by the Oxford University Faculty of Law.
Prof. Subedi, who completed his DPhil (PhD) from Oxford University, was awarded the university’s highest academic title, Doctor of Civil Law (DCL), in 2019. In 2020, Oxford established this annual award in his name to honor excellence in doctoral research in law.
Professor Subedi is currently a professor of international law at the University of Leeds and is also a Barrister and King’s Counsel (KC) in the UK. Two years ago, Oxford’s Exeter College elected him an Honorary Fellow for life in recognition of his exceptional contributions to international law.
