NRNA Hands Over Barricades to Darbarmarg Police Circle

The Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) has handed over 10 units of road barricades to the Police Circle in Darbarmarg, Kathmandu. NRNA President Dr. Badri KC presented the barricades to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Narayan Dangi during a ceremony held in Darbarmarg on Friday.

The police circle had sustained damages during the "Gen-Z" protests on September 8th and 9th (Bhadra 23–24). During the event, Dr. KC mentioned that while the donation cannot fully compensate for the damages caused during the movement, the barricades were provided to offer some level of support.

He further recalled that NRNA has a history of collaborating with the Nepal Police on social initiatives, citing previous contributions such as providing furniture to the Metropolitan Police Range in Ranipokhari and donating high-tech equipment to the Valley Traffic Police Control Room at Ramshahpath.

DSP Dangi, head of the Darbarmarg Police Circle, expressed his gratitude, stating that NRNA's support is significant for maintaining peace and security. The 10 barricades donated by NRNA are valued at approximately 300,000 NPR.

The event was attended by NRNA Women Coordinator Rashmi Thapa, former Youth Vice-President Abdul Basid, CEO Rajendra Kumar Raut, Senior Officer Kunal Mishra, and Assistant Officer Niran Maharjan.
