Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Splits from Socialist Front

The Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has separated itself from the Socialist Front, which included the CPN (Maoist Centre) and three other parties.

On Wednesday, the party's General Secretary Netra Bikram Chand 'Biplav' issued a statement declaring that the relevance of the 'Socialist Front', formed by four parties in 2080 BS (2023 AD), has ended.

Through the statement, he said, "All political parties are participating in new types of unity and alliances. New debates are necessary at a broad level and have already begun.

The three parties affiliated with the Socialist Front have already unified to form the Nepali Communist Party. In such a situation, the NCP has concluded that the Socialist Front, in its current form, is no longer relevant."

He announced the NCP's separation from the Socialist Front, stating that the Front's relevance had ended. He also mentioned that although the Front had conducted some important programs, it was not possible to increase the pace of work as needed.
