Mugu: Bolero Jeep Buried in Landslide

MUGU — A moving Bolero jeep was buried after a landslide triggered near Sunata Khola in Chhayanath Rara Municipality-12, Mugu.

According to the police, the incident occurred around 10:30 AM on Thursday when a landslide suddenly hit the vehicle (Lu Pra 00101 Cha 1211), driven by Bishal Khatri, as it was returning from Gamgadhi toward Sunata.

Following the incident, a police team led by Police Assistant Inspector Prakash Bahadur Singh was dispatched from the Rowa Temporary Police Post to the scene. The team arrived at the site at 1:20 PM to assess the situation.

Police confirmed that no passengers were inside the jeep at the time the landslide struck. Prompt alertness prevented any casualties. Efforts are currently underway to retrieve the buried jeep.

The incident site is located about a two-hour distance south of the Rowa Temporary Police Post. Police stated that further details regarding the event are awaited.
