Children Showcase Talents at 'Mr. and Miss Little Purbeli' Talent Round
On the occasion of the Maghe Sankranti holiday, 39 young children gathered at Durga Party Palace in Itahari on Thursday. Some danced confidently on stage, some sang in melodious voices, while others painted their imaginations with colors and brushes. Organized by Open Space Pvt. Ltd., the talent round of ‘Mr. and Miss Little Purbeli Season-2’ saw children displaying enthusiasm and talent that delighted the gathered audience and parents.
During the talent round, contestants primarily presented their abilities in four categories: dance, singing, painting, and public speaking. Based on the scores given by the judges in this stage, the titles of 'Little Miss Talent' and 'Little Mr. Talent' will be awarded during the grand finale of the competition.
A panel of experienced judges was formed to fairly evaluate the children's talents. The panel included Megha Khadka, winner of 'Mrs. Purbeli Icon'; Sita Puri, winner of the Mrs. Talent title; Raisha Chaudhary, winner of Organizer's Choice; and Sujan Ghimire, Vice District President of Leo District Council 325 'C'.
According to the organizers, the program focuses on the overall development of children rather than just the ramp walk. Saroj Shrestha, Director of Open Space Pvt. Ltd., stated, "This competition is a school for refining children's intellectual capacity and preparing them for the future of the art and fashion sectors."
Currently, choreographer Subheksha Karki is teaching the contestants the catwalk, while training in public speaking, question-and-answer skills, and yoga is also being provided to boost the children's confidence.
Managed by a team including CEO Sajina Shrestha, Director Saroj Shrestha, Choreographer Subheksha Karki, and Media Coordinator Subas Sankalpa, the grand finale of the competition will be held on Magh 17 in Itahari. Winners will receive cash prizes and attractive gift hampers.
