'Miss Nepal Peace' Search Begins, Auditions from December 20
Kathmandu. A new edition of 'Miss Nepal Peace' has commenced with the objective of developing the leadership skills and refining the personalities of nurses.
The organizing body, Next Models Nepal, issued a statement on Thursday informing about the competition's audition details. Applications for the competition have been open for some time, and the selection phase auditions will begin on December 20th.
The competition, whose main sponsor is NCLCKX Nepal, is open to nurses and young women studying nursing, aged between 17 and 28 years. The application form for the competition is available on the 'Khalti' app. The organizers stated that the exact time and venue for the audition will be announced in a few days.
The top winner of the competition will receive a cash prize of one lakh rupees, represent Nepal in 'Miss Global' to be held in Thailand in 2026, 'Miss World Peace' in China, and 'Miss Planet International' in Vietnam, along with winning various gifts worth five lakh rupees.
Organized under the slogan 'Empowered Woman, Capable Nation,' this is the only social beauty pageant related to the health profession that includes the participation of nurses. Nurses working across the country and young women studying in nursing colleges can participate in the competition.
The contestants selected from the selection phase audition will be prepared for the final round through various training sessions.
Ravi Dhamala, Chairman of the organizing institution Next Models Nepal, stated that there will be enthusiastic participation from nurses working in four dozen nursing colleges and more than a hundred hospitals across the country in the preliminary stage of the competition.
The competition is organized with the aim of spreading the message of peace internationally and instilling a greater sense of responsibility towards their profession and society in those involved in or studying nursing.
Yatana Pandey, Managing Director of the organizing institution, mentioned that for the final competition, contestants will be trained on topics like communication skills, personality development, motivation, leadership, dress sense, public speaking, and career counseling. Winners will also be selected in various half-dozen sub-categories (titles) within the competition.
