15th Miss Little Newa Talent Show Completed

The talent show for the 15th edition of Miss Little Newa, a talent competition for young girls from the Newar community, was held in Kathmandu on Saturday.

In the talent show organized at Hotel Pauwa in Gaushala, 20 contestants aged 9 to 13 displayed their inner skills. The participants tried to impress the judges and parents by performing various talents such as dance, skating, gymnastics, painting, playing the violin and Dhime drum, Charya dance, Kumari dance, Bajrayogini dance, and sketching. Most contestants performed dances to Newari songs. 

The competitors include Saphu Bajracharya, Nebha Dangol, Christina Khadgi, Shreya Balami, Prinsika Shahi, Arogya Maharjan, Samriddhi Khadgi, Anya Maharjan, Surabi Bajracharya, Arshiya Maharjan, Dejala Shakya, Ripanshi Shrestha, Sachika Maharjan, Rojline Shakya, Shrisha Shrestha, Sahina Shakya, Bidisha Maharjan, Christina Maharjan, Sastha Manandhar, and Lydia Maharjan.

The judging panel featured lawyer Lakshman Maharjan, Lions Club advisor Mankrishna Shrestha, Dr. Shikshita Shrestha, Namuna Fashion College Vice Principal Jiveshwor Lal Shrestha, flutist Sachin Maharjan, actress Hisila Maharjan, language instructor Raju Napit, and former Miss Little Newa Nayana Shakya.

The event was chaired by Hema Manandhar, president of Nepalese Fashion Home and Fight for Life Nepal. Dr. Dev Kaji Dangol was the chief guest. Other special guests included Santaman Maharjan, Arya Shrestha, Sujyoti Dangol, Anika Maharjan, and several other representatives from various organizations. During the program, hair and skin tests were also conducted for all participants, judged by beauticians Soni Ranjitkar and Meena Shrestha.

The final competition will take place on January Magh 5 in Kathmandu. The event is being choreographed by Sakina Maharjan, Pralisha Shakya, and Chief Timila Maharjan, and coordinated by Krisha Maharjan.
