Minister of Water Supply Pradeep Yadav Departs for Spain

Kathmandu — Minister for Water Supply Pradeep Yadav departed for Spain today to attend the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development (FfD-4), organized by the United Nations. The high-level conference is scheduled to take place from July 1 to 3 in Seville, Spain.
According to Minister Yadav’s personal secretary and Undersecretary Bhaktaraj Joshi, he is accompanied by the Ministry’s Secretary, Engineer Pramiladevi Shakya Bajracharya. Their participation is upon the official invitation of UN Secretary-General António Guterres and the Prime Minister of Spain, Pedro Sánchez.
The global conference will bring together world leaders, representatives of regional and international organizations, financial institutions, private sector stakeholders, civil society, and UN agencies. Nepal will advocate for the interests of least developed countries (LDCs), small island nations, and other vulnerable economies.
The discussions will also focus on ensuring that wealthy nations fulfill their investment commitments toward supporting poorer and developing countries.
