New Song ‘Mero Desh Nepal’ by Chetan Released
Pokhara: Singer Chetan Rai’s new song, ‘Mero Desh Nepal,’ has been released. This patriotic song was launched during a special program. The event was held with the chief guest Usha Hamal, who is a writer, former Under Secretary, and member of the Language Commission.
The program was attended by record-holding composer Santosh Shrestha, Chairperson of Nepal Music Welfare Fund Ramesh Pathak, Chairperson of Rapti Samaj Kathmandu Govinda Madhur Acharya, director Krishna Rasal, and media person Gita Adhikari.
During the event, the guests spoke about the hard work put into the song and video, as well as Chetan Rai’s musical journey. The music video was filmed in Salyan, which is the singer’s birthplace, and the song is part of his new album titled Speed.
The song was composed by the singer himself and written by Pokhara-based journalist Rajaram Poudel, who is also an executive member of the Lyricists Association Nepal.
Poudel has previously released a song collection titled Lockdown 120 and songs like Sana Babu Nani and Hami Geet Gaunchau. The song was arranged by Sabir Karki and the mixing and mastering were done by Govinda Soni.
The music video is attractive and features Chetan Rai along with Prabin Puri, Sagar Basel, Anita Parajuli, Samiksha Poudel, Rita Achhami, and Sumi Lama. Child artists Chirayu Bikram Rai and Chahana Rai are also in the video.
The video was directed by singer Rai, with Prabin Puri as assistant director, Raj Dhami as editor, Sabin Timilsina as cinematographer, and Yograj Bishwakarma handling the drone shots.
Born in Salyan district, singer Rai sings pop and modern songs. His first album, Seven, was released in 2010 and made him popular among the audience.
He released his second album Sound in 2015, followed by his third album Step after a few years. Having released several musical works, he is now busy with programs in Nepal and abroad. Speed is his fourth album.
The music video was released on his own YouTube channel, Chetan Rai Official. Presented by Sekai Entertainment, the singer has requested everyone to watch the video and give their feedback.
The song highlights the country's art, culture, and love for the birthplace.
