Mahesh Bartaula Receives Positive Response from Voters
Kathmandu. Mahesh Bartaula, the CPN (UML) candidate for the House of Representatives from Makwanpur-2 in the upcoming March 5 election, has stated that he is receiving positive feedback from voters.
In a telephone conversation with Nepal News Bank, he mentioned that voters are raising issues related to social development and that he is ready to work on them. Bartaula, who is also a member of the UML Central Committee, stated that addressing the daily needs of citizens is essential to strengthening national interests.
He believes that a balance between policy, service, and infrastructure is necessary for the overall progress of the country. He noted that long-term development is only possible through effective law-making, good governance, and result-oriented public institutions.
Arguing that the lack of infrastructure has a direct impact on people's lives, he emphasized the expansion of the road network, improvement of transport facilities, and safe travel.
He said that cooperation between the state and the community is indispensable to extending access to remote areas. Stating that social development is not possible without improving the health sector, he said that health posts, manpower, and medicine supply in rural areas must be strengthened.
Considering education as the basis of human development, he expressed the view that a policy connecting curriculum, technology, and practical skills is necessary.
He emphasized that efforts should be made to link school and higher education with employment. He believes that programs connecting youth with production, skills, and entrepreneurship will increase economic activity and help reduce unemployment.
He said that models such as the "earn while you learn" concept could be useful to bring practicality to education. He believes that if students can be given opportunities for skills and income along with their studies, education can be made self-reliant and useful.
He mentioned that plans should be implemented in coordination with local levels to maintain balance in regional development.
