Mahara’s ‘Aayo Teej’ Released in the Voices of Samiksha and Rachana

Kathmandu — The new song ‘Aayo Teej’, sung by popular singers Samiksha Adhikari and Rachana Rimal, has been released. The song was launched during a program held in the capital and features lyrics by Sushma Mahara.

With original and heartfelt lyrics, the song is composed in a folk–romantic style. Designed to make listeners dance with joy, the music is composed by Purushottam Neupane, while the arrangement is by Keshab Babu.

An attractive music video has also been produced. The video features performances by lyricist Mahara and Pyari. With the inclusion of several chorus segments, the video is directed by Shakti Prajwol Ghimire, cinematography by Chakra Bahadur Baral, editing by Satish Shrestha, and choreography by Rohiya Maharjan. Produced by Facial House, the video has been released via the official YouTube channel of Music Nepal.

During the event, lyricist Mahara shared that the song’s words are not just lyrics, but the story of her own life. She expressed that the song reflects her past experiences, allowing viewers to clearly understand her journey. This is Mahara’s second Teej song, and she expressed confidence that it will receive as much love from the audience as her first one.

Composer Neupane said the lyrics are both original and touching, so he created the music in a romantic style without losing the essence. Director Ghimire added that since the song is original, he crafted the video to reflect Nepali art and culture.
