Grand Live Music by 'Kutumba' at '29 Resort and Farm House'
Kathmandu. The musical band 'Kutumba' performed live music in Kathmandu. On Saturday evening, 'Kutumba' performed live at '29 Resort and Farm House' located in Budhanilkantha Municipality-13, Chunikhel Kaudol.
'Kutumba', which has been promoting local Nepali and Newari music, performed at '29 Resort and Farm House' from around 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
During the program, 'Kutumba' performed Newari music along with other original and famous local tunes. The audience danced as Kutumba played popular song snippets alongside local melodies. The performance became special by mixing popular song parts with Kutumba’s original tunes.
While the band members explained the importance of the tunes they played from time to time, they were also promoting local Newari music.
While subtly including publicity within the art, the band members said through the microphone that they felt the peaceful and beautiful '29 Resort and Farm House' inside Kathmandu was like a small piece of heaven, while the audience supported Kutumba with big rounds of applause.
"Our main goal was to promote original Nepali Newari culture and also provide information about our resort. While we are slowly forgetting our music and enjoying Western music, we want to show that we have our own grand and civilized original music," said Dimesh Shrestha, one of the operators of 29 Resort and Farm House. "Music and business should be tied together like this. If we can connect Nepali music with the corporate world, original Nepali music will expand further."
The ticket price for entry to the concert was set at 500 rupees.
Along with Dimesh, Kiran Shrestha, Sushant Shrestha, and Kumar Shrestha invested about 40 million rupees to build 29 Resort and Farm House, which started operations last year.-1768189541.jpg)
