Landslide interrupts 33 kV power line in Manang

Kathmandu: Continuous rainfall and subsequent landslides in various parts of Manang have disrupted power and communication services.

According to the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, electricity supply in several areas of the district has been affected after a 33 kV transmission line was blocked by landslides. The ministry stated that technical teams have been deployed to the affected areas to restore the electricity supply.

Due to road closures and transport disruptions caused by the landslides, repair crews are facing difficulties reaching the damaged infrastructure. The ministry assured that efforts are underway to repair the blocked power lines and restore service as soon as possible. With continuous rainfall posing risks of further landslides, local authorities have advised residents in the affected areas to take necessary precautions.
