Landslide in Rajaiya Section of Mahendra Highway, Police Team Reaches the Site

Hetauda. Due to continuous rainfall, a landslide has occurred along the Mahendra Highway in the Rajaiya area under Manahari Rural Municipality in Makwanpur. As the rain has not stopped, landslides are reported to be continuing in the region.

Authorities have urged travelers and drivers to take necessary precautions, as vehicles and passengers traveling along the highway could face potential risks. The police have requested everyone to travel only after understanding the road conditions and receiving updates from relevant authorities.

According to the District Police Office, Makwanpur, upon receiving information about the incident, a team led by Superintendent of Police (SP) Shyam Bahadur Khatri, Chief of the District Police Office Makwanpur, along with Traffic Police Inspector Raju Bista, reached the site.

Madankumar Karki, spokesperson for the District Police Office Makwanpur, stated that the police team has arrived at the location and is assessing the road situation.

Due to the ongoing risk of landslides caused by continuous rainfall, the police have appealed to passengers and drivers traveling along the Makwanpur–Mahendra Highway section to exercise special caution.
