Sita Air Plane Wheel Comes Off in Dolpa's Juphal

Surkhet — The rear right wheel of a Sita Air aircraft came off during landing at Juphal Airport in Dolpa. All 13 passengers on board are safe.

According to the District Police Office, Dolpa, the wheel detached on the runway while the flight from Nepalgunj was landing at Juphal at 8:25 AM today.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Anil Raj Giri of the District Police Office, Dolpa, informed that there were 13 passengers on board—seven foreign nationals and six Nepalis. Among the passengers were 11 men and two women. He confirmed that all passengers are safe.

Juphal Airport Chief Mukunda Poudel stated that the rear wheel came off during landing. He added that the aircraft remains on the runway while a technical team conducts an inspection.

Chief District Officer Junu Hamal Dhakal said the plane experienced a minor issue and all passengers are uninjured. Airport Chief Poudel mentioned that preparations are underway to fly in engineers via helicopter for technical inspection and necessary repairs.

Police confirmed that despite the wheel issue, there were no human casualties.
