Discussion on Nepal–Finland Relations and Multilateral Cooperation

Kathmandu. Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal and Finnish Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen held a meeting on the sidelines of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly.

During the meeting, Finnish Foreign Minister Valtonen expressed deep grief and extended condolences over the loss of lives and property caused by the recent devastating floods and landslides in Nepal.

Foreign Minister Khanal thanked the Finnish Foreign Minister on behalf of Nepal and the Nepali people for her expression of condolences.

Both ministers exchanged views on various aspects of Nepal–Finland relations as well as cooperation in multilateral forums.

Additionally, discussions were held on further strengthening bilateral relations in areas of mutual interest.
