Landslide Forces Closure of BP Highway

Ramechhap: The BP Highway has been blocked after continuous overnight rainfall triggered landslides along the stretch.

Traffic movement on the highway has been severely disrupted due to mudflow and debris falling onto the road, causing significant difficulties for passengers and vehicles commuting along the route.

Meanwhile, water levels at the Roshi Khola Panauti hydrological station in Kavre district have crossed the warning threshold and continue to rise.

In light of the rising water levels, residents living in low-lying areas vulnerable to riverbank erosion and inundation have been urged to exercise high caution. Police have also advised the public to take necessary safety precautions considering the potential risks.
