'Laija Khabar E Hawa' from the movie 'Aa Bata Aama' Recorded in Newari Version
Kathmandu: The movie ‘Aa Bata Aama’, starring Bipana Thapa and Paul Shah, will feature a Newari song. The production team has recorded a Newari version of the song ‘Laija Khabar E Hawa’ from the film.
Director Chandra Panta decided to record the song in the Newari language to target the Newari community. The song has been popular since its release.
Yaman Shrestha sang the Newari version. Babul Giri wrote and composed the original Nepali version. Yaman expressed great joy in singing this song in Newari.
"I was listening to this song on YouTube; it is very popular right now," Yaman said, praising the track. "The team of ‘Aa Bata Aama’ offered me the chance to do it in Newari. They asked me to translate the lyrics myself. I asked my father (Madan Krishna Shrestha) to translate it because his Newari is better than mine. My father wrote the Newari lyrics."
Yaman, who looked very happy in the studio, said he collaborated with his father for the lyrics. He mentioned that he became emotional while watching the video on YouTube and felt the same pain while singing it in Newari.
He added, "In the film, the characters are seen crying a lot. While singing here, I also found myself in tears."
The original Nepali version was sung by Ravi Oad. The story of the film revolves around the feelings of parents in Nepal when their children go abroad.
Director Panta stated that they recorded the song in Newari alongside Nepali. He mentioned that they are trying a different style of promotion and believe this will be a great gift for Newari music lovers. He also shared that they are discussing recording the song in other languages as well.
Produced by Arya Entertainment, the film stars Bipana Thapa, Paul Shah, Pradeep Rawat, Usha Upreti, Simran Panta, Saigrace Pokharel, Gajit Bista, and Begam Nepali. Currently, Paul Shah, Bipana Thapa, and the production team are busy with nationwide promotions.
The film is written and directed by Chandra Pant. The music is composed by Koshish Chhetri, Babul Giri, and Thaneshwor Gautam. Gambhir Bista and Dilip Okheda choreographed the song videos.
Nabaraj Upreti is the Director of Photography (DOP). The dialogues, written by Abhimanyu Nirabi, were developed in collaboration with Amar Neupane and Chandra Pant.
The producers are Krishna Prasad Subedi, Omkar Panta, Prakash Jung Kunwar, Dhurba Prasad Neupane, and Kshitij Dhungana, with Karan Singh Rasaili as the executive producer.
Milan Shrestha edited the film, while Sahil Khan created the trailer and teaser.
